African American Soldier Serving in Afghanistan Launches 'Business Credit' Company in the States, Along with Partners - FOR BUSINESS SAKE?

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 4, 2008 -- Army Warrant Officer Sean Plummer is currently deployed in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He previously served twice in Iraq. As Command and Control Systems Integrator, Plummer administers all of the computers for division-level Air Defense Artillery. Warrant Officer Plummer takes his role as a U.S. Army soldier very seriously, as evidenced by his multiple tours of war zone duty.

However, when not engaged with the elimination or capture of terrorists, he is preparing for his livelihood for when he returns home from the war. Chicago native Plummer, along with two other South-side Chicago friends and business partners - Eric Smith and Verdell Williams, Jr. - recently launched FOR BUSINESS SAKE, LLC, a firm that helps newly formed or small companies to establish and build business credit.

With the intent of ensuring that its clients' personal finances and credit are separate and independent of their respective business dealings, FOR BUSINESS SAKE provides services strictly for businesses that include filing for incorporation and limited liability company status (LLC); credit bureau searches; resolving adverse credit report data; counseling on credit score building or restoration; and assisting in acquiring lines of credit and business credit cards.

ABOUT THE ENTREPRENEURS

- Sean Plummer

Born and raised on Chicago's South Side, Plummer attended Alabama State University for two years prior to making the decision to join the U.S. Army in 1997.

Plummer has significant finance and banking experience, having held positions of increasing responsibility with financial institutions and major corporations. He is currently closing in on his goal of achieving a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Recently selected from among several thousand applicants for promotion to the rank of Army Warrant Officer, Plummer has deployed three times to war zones - twice to Iraq and currently serving with the 101st Airborne Division deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2005, Plummer was deployed with the 101st Airborne Division - 3rd Brigade Combat Team in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and in 2003 with the 1st Armored Division 1-4 Air Defense Artillery to Baghdad, Iraq.

- Eric C. Smith

Eric Smith is an independent real estate investor based in the Chicago-land area. Born and raised on Chicago's South Side, Eric originally began a career in Computer Networking after receiving his undergraduate degree from Robert Morris College.

As one who recognizes opportunities and entrepreneurship, he soon transitioned to his family's real estate business. During this tenure, Eric successfully mastered the art and science of buying and selling commercial and residential properties.

- Verdell Williams, Jr.

Verdell Williams was born in the inner city of the south side of Chicago, Illinois. He attended and graduated with honors from Alabama State University where he was a member of the ASU Marching Band and president of Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity. While pursuing his education, Williams interned with Seaway Bank and Trust - one of the largest African American-owned banks in the United States - which afforded him substantial insight and experience to direct his path to the banking industry.

After graduating from ASU, Williams commenced his career in the banking industry, where for the last ten years, he has guided large and small companies through the investment banking maze, and assisted smaller retail and service businesses establish their investment portfolios, while helping them to gain the traction needed to compete with their larger competitors.

When not working, Williams enjoys singing in his church choir and serving as a mentor to Chicago's at-risk youth.
